KUKA Robot Group unveiled a new palletizing robot at KOREA PACK 2009
Seoul/Augsburg, June 2009 – KUKA Robot Group, Europe’s largest robot maker, unveiled its brand-new product for the first time in Asia at the 14th Korea Pack 2009: The KR 700 PA is a palletizing robot with 700kg of weight capacity.
KUKA Robot Group introduced the world’s widest available range of palletizing robots to the enthusiastic Korean public. KUKA Palletizer are characterized by extremely short cycle times and long reaches, and can be used to implement virtually any customer-specific palletizing solution for a payload range from 40 kg to 1,300 kg.
At Korea Pack 2009, KUKA Robotics exhibited the KR100P/180 PA and the KR 16, the best- selling models in Korea in addition to new KR 700 PA.
The company also held a “logistic session” presenting KUKA’s arctic robot that can effectively carry out its duty in an extremely cold environment of -30°C, and KUKA “titan” PA robot, the world’s first robot that can handle goods of 1.3 tons.
The CEO of KUKA Robotics Korea, Dae-Kern Kang said, “Weight capacity is very important in palletizing robots that have to swiftly load a large amount of heavy goods. With the release of the robot with weight capacity of 700kg, the space needed to place the robot on the production line will be minimized when forming the automation system in plants.”
